The Housing Authority's service to Santa Clara County extends beyond the housing we build and the Section 8 contracts we administer.  The Housing Authority is committed to helping low income families become self-sufficient and independent of government aid.

In 1994, in response to a growing gap of resources, the Housing Authority established a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization called Program Responsible in Daring Excellence (P.R.I.D.E.) in order to raise funds for programs and activities that promote self-sufficiency.

P.R.I.D.E. funds have been used to fund:

bullet

Scholarship grants (approximately $150,000 to date);

bullet

Incentive activities and awards for families achieving self-sufficiency goals;

bullet

Related activities for programs focusing on self-sufficiency; and

bullet

Services for the elderly.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Individuals or corporations can make tax-deductible contributions that will help low income families and seniors assisted by the Housing Authority to become self-sufficient.  Make your check or money order out to P.R.I.D.E. and mail it to the address below.  Please include your name, address and telephone number with your correspondence.
