Important Information About the Interest Lists
These Interest Lists
are maintained by Property Management, Inc. (PMI), a Housing Authority affiliate
that was established to manage these developments.
When you sign up on an
Interest List for a particular development, the information on the Interest List
form is entered into PMI's records and when a vacancy is available at the
development you signed up for, PMI will
look at household size, composition and income of the registrants on the list to quickly determine if
any of them may qualify for the vacancy. An application
is then mailed to several families who have registered on the Interest List for
that property. Once the application has been
completely processed, PMI can determine if the family is eligible
for the available apartment.
Being on an
Interest List does not guarantee an offer of an
apartment. It only means that an application may be offered when appropriate.
The wait for an application may be over one year depending on how many units
become vacant and how many qualified applicants are on the interest list.
